KORVALIS NEWS NETWORK KP's Internal Troops deployed to quell prison riot
11/19/2022
A prison riot broke out this evening in the maximum security penitentiary located outside the city of Ostrasko. Jailers quickly lost control of the situation, and the prison's Corrections Tactical Team was unsuccessful at quelling the riot. Internal Troops were called upon and stormed the prison with tear gas, flashbangs, tasers, electrified riot shields, and hornet grenades (grenades filled with dozens of rubber balls).
The situation was quickly brought back under control, and prison officials have identified the prisoners responsible for the riot. Those prisoners were placed in solitary confinement, while the other prisoners who participated in the riot will be placed in lockdown.
According to official reports, the riot was caused by anti-communist prisoners sympathetic towards the KPA. Security in all penitentiaries will be increased as a result.

Korvalis People's Army Air Force sinks decommissioned aircraft carrier in hypersonic cruise missile test 11/23/2022
Earlier today, the Korvalis People's Army conducted a weapons test using a single ZN-750 Hypersonic Cruise Missile and a 70,000 ton decommissioned aircraft carrier that was towed out to sea. The ZN-750 missile was launched a thousand kilometers away by a strategic bomber flying over Korvalis airspace.
The 2,000kg missile quickly reached its max speed of Mach 12 and struck the decommissioned aircraft carrier with a margin of error of ±0.5 meters. The missile unleashed 16.9 gigajoules of kinetic energy (the equivalent of 4,000kg of TNT) in addition to its 500kg high-explosive warhead.
Despite every watertight door and hatch having been sealed shut prior to the test, the sheer destructive power of the missile caused the carrier to list and sink anyway.
