Founder's Address: Sanctum, Layem At War with Declansburg

Nations of the Assembly,
Today, we are confirming to the Declansburg Assembly that the regions of Sanctum and Confederacy of Layem have both operated, and are continuing to operate at a state of war against our region.
Sanctum's founder, Affray, addressed his region earlier this week and pledged to conquer Declansburg.
Furthermore, Sanctum's discord has become littered with hate speech against our region and prominent members of the region.
Affray's words were revealed to regional officers this week, and we have since been acting accordingly, in coordination of the region's defense.
Sanctum's main ally, the region of Confederacy of Layem, has long been complicit with the horrible words of their ally.
This week, our relationship with Layem also came to a fork in the road. After discussions, a decision was made by the Foreign Minister to cancel embassies with Confederacy of Layem once it became clear they were operating in bad faith.
Our region's embassy closure was not accompanied by any other aggressive action. Soon after, Layem's founder reached out to us and attempted to get us to change our decision. When we did not, they issued us an ultimatum. We were given one hour to cancel embassies with The Wolf Clan. If we didn't we were told Layem would do everything in their power to destroy Declansburg.
Myself, The Prime Minister, the Minister of Defense, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, who were all online at the time in discord, were all in consensus on one thing.
Declansburg will never give in to bullies.
Since yesterday there has been an elevated pattern of hostile events towards Declansburg, conducted by nations affiliated with Sanctum and Layem.
Today, in response to continued hostile events from these regions, we have promoted Krimera to Grand Marshal, giving them the authority to react to threats in real time without authorization.
In times of war, we can activate the Declansburg Armed Forces Treaty, which would form a rapid-ready response unit to address situations as they arise. Ultimately, that is a decision of this body.
Let me close by saying this.
As your founder, I am right now telling you that we have nothing to worry about. Whatever they threaten, we can withstand. At the end of the day, they are just throwing a temper tantrum because they didn't get their way and that's all it'll ever be. It's a NationStates hissy fit.
They've threatened to infiltrate the region. But, they fundamentally don't understand Declansburg, and the way we operate.
Their bark is worse than their bite. At the end of the day, those who operate like Affray and Layem are the weakest of them all.
True strength doesn't need to brag and threaten.
