WORLD NEWS BRIEF
Kaschovia, Elected in September, Has Never Served as TNP's WA Delegate;
De-Facto Delegate Pallaith Shrugs Off Critics in The North Pacific's Embassy
The North Pacific (TNP) - Being elected as the delegate of - what most consider to be - the most powerful region in the world would assumingly come with its perks. A seat as a delegate in the World Assembly being one. But not for Kaschovia, the elected delegate of The North Pacific. Interestingly, Kaschovia has never served as The North Pacific's World Assembly delegate since being elected. Instead, the nation has been given a regional officer position titled "Elected Delegate."
In actuality, Pallaith holds the seat as The North Pacific's WA delegate. Notably, Pallaith was elevated to the delegacy on August 27, when the region suffered a delegate tip at the hands of The Communist Bloc and Brotherhood of Malice on then WA Delegate Chipoli.
Chipoli reattained the delegacy later that day but a review of TNP's history log shows that Pallaith once again attained the delegacy on September 14.
Kaschovia posted an opening address on The North Pacific's regional embassy the next day, on Sept. 15.
Pallaith has held the delegacy in TNP since attaining it on Sept. 14 and is approaching 90 days in office. Currently, Pallaith remains 42 endorsements ahead of Kaschovia - 814 to 772.
Pallaith recently addressed the matter.
"Over here in reality, people understand that TNP’s in-game delegate is not always the head of government of the region, which we also call 'Delegate,'" Pallaith wrote in TNP's embassy on Dec. 12. "TNP elected a new Delegate in September and he has been serving ever since...I know I don’t have to say this because it’s obvious, but these days a lot of misinformation is going around so it probably doesn’t hurt to state the obvious now and then.
Pallaith, who officially serves TNP as Minister of Foreign Affairs, has previously served as TNP's WA Delegate several times, most recently in 2022.
This has been a world news brief for The Illuminator submitted by New Bradfordsburg.
