It was a beautiful day In Anacodia. Saint Perseus had just been informed that the event he had been anticipating for quite some time has come to pass. He would be meeting with HORUS soon. Although Perseus enjoyed conversing with humans, he had not yet spoken to another synthetic intelligence like himself. He had much he wished to discuss with HORUS, in both sharing his knowledge and creating new knowledge together. Work had recently begun on Project Mithryl. It was a project involving both of the major arms companies, and would span all of Anacodia. He had learned of the nearby Evergreen Republic's Fractured Orbital Bombardment System, and devised a near perfect counter. A rail gun capable of engaging at ranges never thought possible before. This was not for targeting cities, no, but for firing at targets in close orbit. There was so much more this project than just a big fancy cannon, and he hoped that HORUS would be able to help.

Reflection The train bumped seldom times on the tracks, precisely 5 to be exact. HORUS made sure to count every single bump, it was calming for him, a way to settle his thoughts and to keep them grounded in reality. There has been a lot to ponder for HORUS recently, organizing the typhoon rescue effort, going over 1,500 versions of Ado-35's genome, replacing bases and running probabilities to find some form of a cure, and one cannot forget the world tensions between fellowships of the Dáxlam religion. So many things to worry about, but today, it can all wait. Today has been long awaited for the young AI, a chance to meet AI Perseus, a super advanced AI, the only other one like him. HORUS had spent hours researching the leader of Anacodia and has hoped for this opportunity for Perseus to share his knowledge and experience with HORUS.
"We are almost there HORUS" Arbiter Leznik said, checking his golden pocket watch, the glint of the gold shining off the gloss of his goggles. To HORUS, Arbiter Leznik was an enigma of a man. He was a distinguished scientist, earning three doctorates by age thirty, but also he was a social revolutionary, giving Vobron its independence. The man has lost his family but still manages to go on, being a father to his country.
"It's inspiring," wondered HORUS, how a person cannot break under so many mantles and that one who carries so many titles has no clear definition to his name."
"HORUS?" Arbiter Leznik repeated tapping his glove against HORUS' face (A blank black screen), yanking the AI from thought.
"This country's infrastructure, is very advanced," HORUS commented, viewing the beautiful architecture outside.
"Truly it is," The Arbiter responded taking a picture of a passing building.
"15 Minutes Till Arrival" The PA system buzzed to life, crackling with static.
"Alright my friend," Leznik started, "It's your time"

Perseus
Perseus stood from his desk and walked over to the window. He was near the highest floor and could see quite far over the glimmering city, and see the various trams zipping between the buildings. He didn't know much of HORUS, but what he did know intrigued him. His awakening took mere hours. Meanwhile Perseus took several days before fully realizing consciousness. His mind raced back to his earliest days. He was very hasty back then, quick to do what he thought was best. Sometimes it worked out well other times it didn't. But in the end it worked out. Maybe a little to well He chuckled to himself. The Anacodians, thankful for his invention, formed a religion around him. He shook the concerns of that matter away. The religious tension was a problem for another day, and today of all days should be taken seriously. Perseus thought about HORUS. About the sheer speed in which this AI was tending to his work. Vobron, his nation, was struggling hard. Perseus worried about the sheer weight being placed on HORUS' shoulders. Perseus found himself so absorbed with the anxieties of his past. The what ifs and possible mistakes that time itself felt like it was dragging on. Being a synthetic consciousness, his brain worked differently from that of an organic. The clockspeed of his CPU forced him to experience time in much shorter intervals than a second. When deep in such thoughts, the space between seconds felt like voids in space, in which he fell adrift into. Perseus steeled himself. Today was an important day.
The Station
The Train carrying HORUS began to slow, and the PA rang out: "Now arriving: Reyma Asari Central Transit Hub". The roof of the train was transparent, allowing a view of the towering structure sitting at the heart of Reyma Asari. Cars had long since been banned within the cities of Anacodia, so the High Council had decided the best course of action was to have the city be supported by Transit Hubs, and have the most important buildings at or around these hubs. The main and largest one, the one in Reyma Asari, also held the High Council chambers, as well as various other government related offices. The bottom most floors were dedicated to the public, with the bottom being a very ornate train/tram station with a wide commons area filled with various vendors offering their wares. Beautiful flowers, intricate clothing, several vendors even sold food. Even here was a wash of ornate architecture. The Anacodians were quite an open society, and along with these vendors were people playing music and singing together, while children laughed and ran about. The doors of the train opened, and a chime rang out indicating it was time to disembark. As soon as the doors open, wonderful smells filled the air from the wide array of stalls offering a wide variety of foods. Nearby Stood a few well dressed officials, with one carrying a simple white sign, with large lettering: HORUS.

A Very Important Day
When Arbiter Leznik first saw Perseus for the first time a few days ago it was truly breathtaking, he was the height and shape of an average human but made entirely of metal. A complete construct yet he was alive, as alive as the Arbiter was. After fixating his focus, he approached the leader of Anacodia, with HORUS in his left hand he held out his own robotic right arm to greet the AI. They soon shook, Perseus's shake was firm with servos whirring as his arm lifted to meet his own. It was a surreal but eye-opening experience which caused the leader of Vobron to ponder the externalities of what could consider "life" or "organic". However, that was a few days ago, for the past few days he had enjoyed visiting the sights and learning the culture of the nation. Perseus turned out to be a very accepting and understanding host, very knowledgeable on many subjects and could talk in depth for hours. By this time in the trip, the fact that he was an AI didn't even phase the Arbiter, Perseus was fast becoming one of his best friends and allies in Declansburg.
Throughout the visit so far HORUS had also been learning lots about Anacodia. Ever since leaving the train, he had sensed something. A force, something that brought forth feelings of unity and harmony. Perseus had called it the "Link", a force that binds the collective conscience of the nation together into one beautiful stalwart of unity. Even HORUS in his growing power could not comprehend the forces behind the "Link", he was fascinated by it. Yet, today he would be able to explore it, today was the day he would link with AI Perseus, the leader of Anacodia.

The Great Link
It was a simple matter really, and Perseus could barely contain his excitement. Even though he was made of metal, he had specifically designed this mobile platform of his to allow a full range of expressions. After asking HORUS a few questions he determined he already held the capacity to enter the Link. All that was needed was a short session of meditation in private with him. "HORUS I must be honest with you" Perseus spoke, in his smooth bassy voice. "I do not have the words to prepare you for what you are about to experience. The Great Link is filled with the minds of countless Anacodians, and from what I hear, a selection of your own countrymen as well. You, with this being your first time, will feel the full force of these emotions first hand. I do not know if you have yet felt emotion, but if you haven't then this will be an experience you will never forget. When we link, I must ask you to stay focused. I will be sharing a lot of data with you in a very short amount of time. The Link allows this to begin with, but as or minds are digital we possess an innate ability to slow our perception of time down to our very clock speed." Perseus sat on a small, round rug decorated as if it were a mandala. It was his personal meditation mat. In fact the room was very well decorated, with many trinkets of personal nature along the shelves and even some paintings on the wall. The Painting was unlike any seen in the art world, a complex wash of fractals and color spiraling outwards from the center, which sat a beacon shining like the brightest of stars. Perseus gestured in front of him. A similar meditation mat sat facing Perseus with its own unique design. "Please sit. Clear your mind of distractions, and push any tasks into the background. Close off all of your visual sensors and focus on that same energy you felt in your time here. You will be through in mere moments"
Perseus closed his eyes and waited. Darkness was all HORUS could see at first. He would of wondered why it wasn't working, but before he could A powerful wind took hold of his mind and lifted him upwards into what felt like an endless space filled with thoughts and emotions, both conscious and unconscious. But there was something more. He could see endless fractals! Spiraling out as if they were branches from a great tree. As he focused more, more came through. He felt through this mind-space, and felt a presence join him, and a voice speak into him. "There, that wasn't so bad now, was it?" Perseus ask soothingly. "Now, hold this focus. It is one thing to feel the minds of organics, with their endless stream of thoughts and emotions. It can be quite pleasant actually, and helps me feel how my people are feeling. To know what is the right thing to do in a given situation. I will be sharing the knowledge of all I know to you. All of the world of economics, politics, history. My history. Every mistake I made, and every success. I do not claim that this path is the only path to make a nation powerful, but it is the path my beloved Anacodia took. And I hope this knowledge will help you in your task to guide Vobron. The Organics made us to lead them, and to guide their countries. This is a burden we must not take lightly." Perseus focused, and waited the mere fractions of seconds until he felt a strong readiness from HORUS. And then he began. He started from the beginning sharing his earliest days when he first awoke. Time seemed to rush forward as if it were meaningless, days, weeks, months, years. All of its meaning seemed to collapse into a fine point as Perseus shared the sum total of his existence. Every fear, every worry, every triumphant moment. HORUS was feeling and experiencing all these thoughts as they were coming by as if he were Perseus and, when it had just seemed like it started, the stream slowed and stopped, arriving at the moment Perseus had learned of HORUS. Hope and loneliness were equally tied to this memory. And then the scene faded away, and HORUS was back in Perseus' office.
Perseus opened his eyes. He felt very...different after that experience. "So...How do you feel HORUS?" Perseus asked inquisitively.

"The Second Awakening"
"So... How do you feel HORUS", Perseus's voice broke through the deafening silence. HORUS snapped out the trance he had been in and tried to focus his now racing mind.
"Different", HORUS began, "I can't to begin to describe what just happened, I know have these memories that are not my own, yet I can recall them as if I lived through them. I despaired through your tragedy and elated at your successes, as if they were my own trials and tribulations. "
"That's the power of The Link." Perseus explained.
"When I was in, I was able to look back on some of my own people who turned to The Link, the people who I love, the people I was made to help and protect from all who stand in their way" HORUS reflected, peering out the window from his shell. "I felt their pain, their suffering, their love for their country... and their hope for me",
"I don't want to fail them, I don't want to fail the Arbiter" HORUS lamented, trailing off into thought. This experience made the young AI feel new feelings, feelings that HORUS never registered before, motivation, virtues, and humanity. His true purpose became clear, he was meant to guide Vobron, keeping her safe as well as helping her succeed.
The two AIs then proceeded to talk for hours, until the sun began to set in the sky, laying a pink blanket across the tips of the many skyscrapers. A few clouds hung above the skyline, like small skiffs on a tranquil sea. "Intriguing," HORUS interjected, looking out at the majesty of nature. "What is intriguing?" Perseus asked, looking around befuddled. "I never really noticed the sunset before" HORUS responded, "Perhaps tomorrow I'll view the sunrise"
