Greater Coreign was once divided between the Monarchist East and the Communist West after previously being part of a now fragmented empire. War broke out between the two nations on the 2nd of January 2019, the war was a bloody and endless. Eventually, on the 4th of February 2021, the Monarchist Nation of East Coreign was able to capitulate West Coreign with the help of internal rebellions. After the war, both nations were heavily damage and the capitals of both nations were practically dust, so King Ceroch VII rebuilt the new capital of Greater Coreign in a more centralised city called Valenburg which almost immediately gained tourist attention and gained 5 million residents within the first month as it was the most technologically advanced city in the country. However not everything went to plan, the rebellions which worked along side East Coreign were tricked and used for the easts benefit, the rebellions were angered that they were deceived so they attempted to launch a coup to overtake the monarchy and form a full republic, but they failed miserably and all 5 leaders were publicly execute for treason. Once people started to realise the real reason why the rebellions revolted and rumours started to spread about the King, many lost faith in him and some were plotted a second coup. The nation was split 50/50 between abolishing and keeping the monarchy, to avoid another civil war the King tightened his authoritarian grasp on Greater Coreign and enforced mandatory military conscription (to discipline the soliders), banned external electronic access (nobody could communicate in or out of Coreign) and mass produced marijuana in hopes to calm down the civilians. Since then, any signs of resistance were put in "correction" camps and the laws only got stricter. To be continued...
