War on terror: Manis calls on world to ‘defeat fear’
For a nation that hasn’t ever been quiet about the rise of terrorism across the region and the dire need to eradicate it, the Nationale Republik tonight called on the world to act before chaos erupts. President Colton Manis addressed the nation and the world before a special session of the Nationalrat calling for a “well thought and a well funded” war on terror. He was calm, fearless, as the new president pleaded for the world’s support.
“These despicable acts inflicted upon innocent people, in nations once thought to be immune from their hate, have grown and have become more direct and have become more deadly. Innocent people on their way to work, children on their way to learn, all minding their business and living their lives as they always have. But then they are struck, targeted by those filled with relentless hatred that they weren’t aware existed in their world.
We cannot continue to sit back and allow these cowardly acts to become even more funded or even more coordinated than they already are. We require a well thought and a well funded war on terror, and tonight, the Nationale Republik is prepared to start fighting the war against freedom. Freedom and fear have always been at war, and right now the freedom we all cherish is begging us to act, and to act without fear. We are ready and we are coming, and we will not fail.
The hearts of the people of the Nationale Republik are with the people of Korvalis tonight. Our hearts ache and our prayers are with them. But we all require more than prayer to defeat the fear that is spreading. In order for us to put an end to the fear we need to act, for all of us, and for freedom.
Our region cannot afford an indecisive Republik. Our future depends on how we act right this moment, and the moment has come for us to stand up and fight. Our enemies must be found and brought to justice before chaos and retreat becomes all that we know. Freedom is at war with fear and freedom must prevail—whatever it takes. We must defeat fear. Right this moment, we will act.”
President Manis has informed the region that the NR is waging a war on terror that is well thought and well funded. “I think Manis is serious in what he said and I don’t think he’d be afraid to go it alone, but I think many in the region stand beside him tonight,” said Vienna Tonight anchor and managing editor Garrett Jennings. “I may not agree with his party’s policies but this… but this is something we must do to preserve our freedom; I’m with him and I believe the region is with him,” he concluded during this evening’s broadcast.
