Drafted Language: The PM may issue temporary executive orders to address immediate policy needs, which shall consist of any nation that holds a regional officer position in Declansburg. These executive orders should be numbered and should be used to address immediate policy needs of the region, lasting no more than two months. Executive orders should not conflict with any established regional law and will have the power of law. An executive order can be declared illegal by the Attorney General if said executive order violates an established regional law. Executive orders can also be nullified through majority assembly vote or subsequent executive orders. If the PM wishes for an executive order to last beyond two months they must seek approval from the Assembly at the time the executive order would expire. If the PM does not seek to renew an executive order it will expire two months after the date of said order's issuance.

We recognise the advantages of an executive order, but in the spirit of democratic coexistence we consider that the control of executive orders should not be optional, but obligatory. We propose that executive orders be time-limited, e.g. 2 months. If it is desired that the executive order should have effect beyond that, the PM must submit them to the Assembly for decision. If the matter to which the executive order relates has already been settled, the PM simply allows it to expire. This is also a way to prevent abuse of power and undemocratic assumption of control.

All of these suggestions are very good. They have all been incorporated into the legislation. Executive orders will be temporary in this proposal, lasting no more than two months. If the PM wishes to renew an executive order they will bring it to the Assembly.

Executive Orders should be at the discretion of the sitting PM and the duration should be subject to the reason for its authorization. Executive Orders are issued for many different reasons and some may be required to be active longer than two months, like sanctions or other pressing issues needing immediate attention. Thereโs nothing undemocratic about the PM having this power, along with the advise and consent of the Assembly whenever and wherever appropriate.

While we concede that an executive order as originally proposed is not per se undemocratic, it should be indisputable that the amended proposal more strongly preserves democratic rights and the separation of powers.
The PM still has the right to respond to pressing, time-sensitive issues through an executive order without first going through the time-consuming process of legislating by the Assembly. To the extent that he deems it necessary to prolong the effects of the order beyond the time limit even at the outset of the action, he can submit the executive order to the Assembly at any time.
Should the PM have the time to seek the advice and consent of the Assembly beforehand, the ordinary legislative process can also be followed straight away.
The Executive Order, as such, limits the legislative power of the Assembly granted to it by our Constitution. Such interference should be kept to a minimum and continue to recognise the Assembly as the highest constitutional legislative body.

i support and sponser whilst i may not be anything major in the region i'd say that this is helpful and rather important for the regions stability and i especially hope we don't get anything like the great schism that occurred from april 25th-may 2nd and had lasting effects for 2 month proceeding the incident as we had an overall decline of nations on most days from late april to mid july and only in recent times have we recovered a decent amount.
