Hurricane Chad Takes Aim at Devontalioka - EVERGREEN HURRICANE CENTERThe Evergreen Hurricane Center has issued hurricane warnings, watches and tropical storm warnings in advance of Hurricane Chad. The storm is strengthening and several oscillations in the storm's course have caused Hurricane Chad to veer closer to land than previously expected. This is being attributed to a number of eyewall replacement cycles that altered the storm's path. Citizens along the coastline of Devontalioka should prepare for life-threatening hurricane conditions as Hurricane Chad makes its closest pass to land during the day tomorrow. Hurricane conditions will occur far inland in some areas, and preparations should be completed as soon as possible. Storm surges could approach 12-15 feet along vulnerable coastlines and evacuations should occur in exposed coastal areas. Hurricane Chad is a Category 2 Hurricane, with winds of 105 MPH sustained near the center of the storm. It is moving slowly, west north west at only 10 miles per hour. This will increase the amount of time coastal areas are exposed to Hurricane Chad. Additional updates will be issued Saturday morning.

HURRICANE CHAD NOW A CATEGORY 3
8 AM UPDATE - EHC - HURRICANE CHAD Hurricane Chad is now a major hurricane roughly 150 miles offshore of Devontalioka. Its movement has slowed, and the storm is now moving WNW at 8 MPH. Hurricane Warnings have been issued for the entire Eastern Devontalioka Coastline, from Slastania to the border with Novus Lucidum. Hurricane Watches have been issued for Southeastern Novus Lucidum. CONDITIONS TO EXPECT Hurricane Chad has winds of 115 miles per hour near the eye of the storm, and winds that exceed hurricane force extend far out from the center of the storm. Outer bands, several hundred miles away from the storm's eyewall, are producing heavy rainfall rates near 5 inches per hour and winds exceeding 100 miles per hour. Roughly 200 miles away from the eyewall of Hurricane Chad, winds are still being logged at 80 miles per hour sustained on the western side of the storm. Hurricane Chad will produce damaging storm surge that could exceed 18 feet along vulnerable and exposed coastlines. Rivers and streams will overtop their banks as some areas in Devontalioka may receive over 40 inches of rain in higher elevations. Chad will begin to weaken today, when dry air intrusions are expected to degrade Chad's organization. The status of Chad as a Category 3 storm will be reassessed at the noon update.

We order everyone living within 20 miles of the coast to evacuate to the central area of Devontalioka for fears of coastal flooding caused by storm surge and for inland flooding due to torrential downpours of 2-7 inches of rain/hour. wind are expected to reach 90MPH along the coast and stretch around 80 miles inland for the gale force winds (39+MPH) a small weak tornado event is expected with the region as the storm is expected to stall around 30 miles offshore and to be impacted by a strong high-pressure system will likely form in central Devontalioka which will force the storm to stall and to eventually turn WSW and make landfall in Devontalioka near the city of Pristaiparchken (unmarked on map but northeast of New korroban) which is unfortunately one of the poorest regions of Devontalioka (region is called Pristaiparchken County pop: 1.5 million 800K in Pristaiparchken) so depending on the strength of the storm as it stalls and eventually makes landfall can cause high numbers of fatalities and damages. this region unfortunately is very flat so flooding will certainly be catastrophic especially when it is a agricultural region, catastrophic damage in this area can cause a lack of rice and wheat across the country which will likely cause people to have to eat less than they usually would which could cause a humanitarian crisis. landslides are expected to occur near New Korroban which can destroy homes, and damage the environment in various ways so when this storm is over we request aid as it is clear this storm isn't a slouch and will cause mass harm
