The People's Republic of Korvalis, recognizing that critical bottlenecks along its borders have been leading to supply-chain issues within the nation, is formally reaching out to the nations of Odinburgh, Saint Jews, Capoltia, Lussia, and the Prussia Union about creating a transcontinental transportation system to address these issues.
Advantages of a transcontinental transportation system includes creation of numerous jobs, faster and improved transportation between nations, and a significant boost to each nation's trade economy. Should said nations agree to one or more of these proposals, civil engineers from Korvalis will immediately begin working with their foreign counterparts to begin planning efficient routes between Korvalis and participating nations.
- Creation of a transcontinental freight railway
- Creation of a transcontinental high-speed railway (i.e., bullet trains)
- Creation of a transcontinental highway system
Note: Most Korvalis bullet trains can travel at 500km/h (310mph), with the fastest ones capable of reaching 700km/h (435mph). Korvalis proposes using the fastest trains for the transcontinental high-speed railway, while retaining the slower trains for its national transportation system.
