Yodle, Founder of The Region That Has No Big Banks (TRTHNBB), Steps Up & Places Hundreds of Bids

Declansburg - Two regional founders have joined forces to build Declansburg's definitive Season 3 regional card collection.
The partnership brings together Yodle, the founder of The Region That Has No Big Banks (TRTHNBB) and New Bradfordsburg, the founder of Declansburg.
As of Dec. 23, the efforts between Yodle and New Bradfordsburg had already resulted in 277 cards being collected. In total, there are 505 Season 3 cards for Declansburg. Efforts to collect them began only days earlier, during the week before Christmas.
Yodle has spearheaded the partnership, securing a majority of the cards collected thus far. Declansburg has assisted by placing bids and transferring some cards already in the possession of the region's informal collections. When the project, dubbed Project Declansburg, is completed - it will be the only existing complete collection of Season 3 Declansburg cards.
By the Numbers
Declansburg has contributed 56 cards to the collection, with the remainder being contributed by TRTHNBB. A spreadsheet, maintained by Yodle, has helped to keep track of the progress. Through New Bradfordsburg, Declansburg has placed over 50 bids on cards still to be collected. As of the time of publication, bids have been placed on all cards currently not in the "Lands of Declansburg" collection.
The remainder of bids outstanding have been placed by The Region That Has No Big Banks, through Yodle.
An Expanding Partnership
Other nations from TRTHNBB have joined the project as well. Socialist Britain, a prominent citizen in TRTHNBB, has offered to contribute art. Declansburg's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which has fully embraced the project, sees it as the beginning of a long-lasting friendship between the two regions.
A Challenging Project
While many of the cards have been easy to collect - ironically those cards labeled rare, ultra rare and epic - cards like The Galapago, which has only two owners, are harder to come by. Despite their common label, the nations those cards represent have ceased to exist, making pulls of the card's copies rather rare. Other cards, like the card of the long-ceased to exist Republic of Holy Casterpro, amazingly have no owners.
That doesn't mean the card isn't getting pulled. Holy Casterpro's card has been pulled 16 times since Season 3 in November 2022, but it has been junked every time. Holy Casterpro's card was last junked on Dec. 11, about a week before Project Declansburg began. It is one of many that now has an outstanding bid from either Yodle or New Bradfordsburg.
The infrequency of pulling the cards of nations that have ceased to exist is an x-factor that adds to the challenge of compiling a collection for a large region, like Declansburg was in late 2022.
Memories Come with Project Declansburg
Many of the nations featured in the S3 Declansburg card collection have since ceased to exist. Others remain in the region, and some in the collection have been removed from the region since S3 cards were captured and printed. While the new "Lands of Declansburg" card museum will give a place to reflect on the region's past, it also conjures up memories of a region that was very different from the Declansburg of today.
In November of 2022, when S3 occurred, Declansburg was headed towards an election for Prime Minister and was led by a different Governor.
While Declansburg was larger in November 2022, it had a lower percentage of nations in the WA at the time and a poor reputation. Despite assisting in military victories and outlasting the regions Confederacy of Layem and Sanctum, both of which had declared war on Declansburg the winter of that year, Declansburg's status on the world stage was tarnished by a legacy of poaching.
Shortly after the Confederacy of Layem was defeated, Declansburg suffered more turmoil - this time internal. That spring, following the dismissal of a staff member for failing to moderate, nearly two dozen WA nations would leave Declansburg to found Aros Elyium, some of whom resigned regional officer posts upon leaving. Those that remained in the region voiced determination to keep Declansburg's regional government functional and, in the days that followed, Declansburg elected a new regional government.
In the summer and fall of 2022, Declansburg grew once again but the region reached a political dead end. The then regional government continued to endorse the poaching policies of their predecessors. As a result, Declansburg was a region without allies.
By November of 2022, when Season 3 was released, the region was on the verge of massive change.
Season 3 cards were printed days before Staidear, whose card is listed as common in Season 3, went on to defeat the incumbent Prime Minister by a one vote margin, in an election where the lead changed hands several times.
Staidear's campaign and election to Prime Minister, which was considered a long-shot at the time, led to Declansburg announcing a cessation of poaching activities and a shift in focus to rehabilitating a damaged image. The region, soon thereafter, passed anti-fascism laws authored by Staidear and joined Libcord, beginning Declansburg's trajectory to the region it has become in December 2023.
Today, Staidear serves as the Governor of Declansburg, with an official title of Community Manager. The former governor, New Bradfordsburg (the authoring nation of this article) now heads Declansburg's foreign and cultural ministry.
Nearly eight months after Season 3's release, Declansburg became one of the first large stronghold regions to peacefully transfer power after New Bradfordsburg abdicated the governor's role to Staidear. Today, the region - which was once sanctioned by The North Pacific for the earlier mentioned poaching policies - proudly holds embassies with The North Pacific. It's a symbolic reflection of how much the region has changed in only a year.
The "Lands of Declansburg" collection reflects a pivotal time in the region's history. Declansburg's enduring legacy as a region that has matured with the passage of time, and as a region that has impacted so many, demands the collection's existence.
Thanking TRTHNBB and Yodle
Without the efforts of Yodle and TRTHNBB, the Lands of Declansburg collection would not be happening. In fact, it was Yodle that first suggested the collection.
The Declansburg Ministry of Culture, led by New Bradfordburg, which operates as an arm of the Governor's office and run's regional events, has formally sponsored the project - which both parties hope will be completed sooner rather than later. Yet, patience is a virtue when it comes to completing large card collections.
Declansburg is beyond thankful to the efforts of Yodle and for TRTHNBB's enthusiasm for Project Declansburg.
On behalf of the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and The Founder's Office, Declansburg states its sincere appreciation for Project Declansburg. As a region, we're humbled by TRTHNBB's efforts on the project. I hope you enjoyed the read. We wish all of you a happy and safe holiday season!
