The forces of Roylaii and Grand Rotondia stand off against each other as they engage in combat. The Battle of Zaun as it will be known, will be fought on two different parts of the battlefield. Along the trench networks that stretched from the north of the country to the south, the battle is split between the fight in the north and the one in the south.
North of Ely
Situation: Grand Rotondian forces are on the offensive, Roylaii troops act in the defence.
Troop(s):Grand RotondiaInfantry Corps x2
Heavy Tank Battalion x1
Fighter/Multirole Aircraft Squadrons x13
Paratroopers and SF Operators [Parachuted behind enemy lines] (individuals) x2000
RoylaiiInfantry Corps x2
Medium Tank Battalion x2.5
Fighter/Multirole Aircraft Squadrons x20
Bomber Squadrons x5
Outcome:Due to air superiority by Roylaii forces, the overall out-armoured force manages to sustain less casualties than expected. The Rotondian offensive is successful as they were able to push Roylaii forces out of their fortified positions to the South-West. Paratroopers and SF Operators sustain heavy casualties as even though they were escorted by fighters, the overall number of Roylaii aircraft manage to take many of the transport aircraft down before reaching their destinations. Roylaii bombers were able to deal significant damage against assaulting Rotondian forces, especially the heavy tank battalion.
Casualties:Grand Rotondia#1 Infantry Corps at 75% Strength
#2 Infantry Corps at 50% Strength
Heavy Tank Battalion is at half strength
Total of 4 Fighter/Multirole Aircraft shot down
1,250 Paratroopers and Special Forces Operators killed. 750 reached their objective.
RoylaiiBoth Roylaii Infantry Corps are at 75% strength
1 whole Medium Tank Battalion was destroyed, 1.5 remaining
1.5 Bomber Squadron Lost, 3.5 remaining
5 Fighter/Multirole Fighters Lost, 15 remaining
South of ElySituation: Both Roylaii and Rotondian forces are on the offensive. A greater focus by both sides lead to larger troop concentration on this side of the battlefield.
Part 1: Rotondian Offensive, Roylaii Defence
Troop(s): Grand RotondiaInfantry Corps x3
Heavy Tank Battalion x2
Fighter/Multirole Aircraft Squadrons x14
Paratroopers and SF Operators [Parachuted behind enemy lines] (individuals) x2000
RoylaiiInfantry Corps x2
Medium Tank Battalion x7.5
Fighter/Multirole Aircraft Squadronsx40
Bomber Squadrons x10
Outcome:
The Rotondian forces on their offensive push in the attempt to break the Roylaii defensive positions find themselves with an army amassed to conduct their own offensive. Once again, the Rotondian air force finds themselves outnumber, by more than double their force. Both Roylaii Fighters/Multiroles and Bombers severely damage the pushing Rotondians. The 2,000 Special Forces and paratroopers find themselves only able to jump out immediately behind enemy lines, not being able to reach their objectives. Both the Infantry and the tank battalions of Rotondia are repelled from their assault as the Roylaii begin their own offensive.
Casualties:Grand Rotondia1x Infantry Corps destroyed
2 & 3 Infantry Corps retain 75% strength
1x Heavy Tank Battalion sustained 75% casualties, remaining 25% fell back with other battalion

Heavy Tank Battalion x1.25
Fighter/Multirole Aircraft Squadrons x5
RoylaiiInfantry Corps x1
Medium Tank Battalion x5
Fighter/Multirole Aircraft Squadronsx35
Bomber Squadrons x9
Outcome:
The Rotondian forces after the push south and their rejection by Roylaii forces are attempting to hold their ground whenever possible. But not throwing their lives away when they can easily fall back to another defensive position. Once again, the Roylaii air force has air superiority, with their fighter/multirole aircraft providing protection for their own forces and hunting the enemies down. The high maneuverability of the medium tanks of Roylaii begin to show their worth as their vast numbers begin to conduct lightning attack against the slower and less maneuverable heavy tanks. Rotondian forces are continued to be pushed back across Minuvano, being pushed north as to not be cut off from the other Rotondian forces in the area.
Casualties:Grand Rotondia0.5x Infantry Corps lost
Heavy Tank Battalion x0.75 remaining
Fighter/Multirole Aircraft Squadrons x2 remaining
RoylaiiInfantry Corps x 0.8
